AV Connections, Inc. of NC was pleased to provide conference audio visual at Meadowbrook Inn in beautiful Blowing Rock, NC this past week. Meadowbrook Inn is a popular spot for conferences, meetings, and weddings in North Carolina, we were pleased to get the call to provide conference audio visual for the Northwest AHEC Conference, part of the UNC School of Medicine.

Job Description:

Audio Visual Technician – Part-time/Full-time/Contract
Location: Winston-Salem, NC Corporate Offices of AV Connections, Inc.
Basic delivery, set-up, operation and tear-down of large and small scale audiovisual systems for live events while ensuring the best in client satisfaction. Responsible for accurate set-up and proper operation of basic electronic equipment. Provide excellent service and strive to exceed expectations and needs of customers. Maintain a positive relationship with all clients through excellent communication. Understand the technical aspects of the job and demonstrate basic operational skills to troubleshoot and problem solve. Understand company processes, follow procedures and complete systems entry and paperwork accurately. Interact with other staff and outside vendors for equipment. Increase revenue by utilizing up-selling techniques. Work with clients to finalize invoices.

Required Skills:
• High School diploma required
• Live event experience and previous customer service experience helpful
• Technical aptitude and basic understanding of how to use audiovisual equipment and computer hardware and software
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized
• Must be able to accommodate a rotating work schedule to include nights and weekends
• Portrays a polished professional image to meet company dress code requirements
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Clean driving record
• Video-editing skills a plus

Wedding Lighting and Conference Audio Visual at Graylyn in NC by AV Connections, Inc.

We were thrilled to provide conference audio visual and wedding lighting rentals and staging available at Graylyn Conference Center in Winston-Salem, NC. This past week our crews were at Graylyn, in our corporate headquarters’ hometown of Winston-Salem to provide conference audio visual for the Wake Forest University Family Business Forum.

Graylyn is an incredible venue at which to hold a wedding, conference, gala, or meeting and we are pleased to help you with conference audio visual or wedding lighting at this facility. Graylyn, completed in 1928, was originally the home for the Bowman Gray family of Winston-Salem, NC. Bowman Gray was a som of the founder of Wachovia Bank, and Bowman went on to become the Chairman of RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company. In 1946, the Bowman family donated the Graylyn estate to the Wake Forest University psychiatric hospital, and Graylyn operated in that capacity until 1959. In 1972 a descendant of the Gray family purchased Graylyn and immediately donated it to Wake Forest University. Graylyn is operated by the university and continues to support the goals of Wake Forest University and is available for conference and wedding rentals as well.

Corporate conference lighting and audiovisual at an Atlanta, GA convention center by AV Connections

We are thrilled to be providing the corporate conference audiovisual and lighting for the Vector Marketing summit at the Sheraton Downtown Atlant Hotel and Convention Center this week. This large-scale national conference has brought together our teams from our North and South Carolina branches of AV Connections. We met up in Atlanta, GA to get rolling together on the corporate conference audiovisual. After a night of loading in and a full day of set up, you see the incredible results!

Thousands of corporate conference and meeting attendees were treated to top-line event technology presentations on our innovative corporate conference audiovisual technology.

On site for our equipment were:

JBL speakers
Yamaha audio mixers
Shure wireless microphones
Sanyo projectors
Extron 506 switchers
Tascam DVD players
9×12 rear surface screens
7.5×10 rear surface screens

Corporate event audiovisual by AV Connections, Inc. for BB&T Bank

We love the chance to provide corporate event audio visual staging and production, especially for our amazing clients at BB&T Bank’s corporate offices in Winston-Salem, North Carolina!

What a fantastic event this was: Hundreds of associates and their families, great live music and carolers, gorgeous holiday food and nibbles, and endless beautiful holiday decor. We were pleased to be the BB&T Corporate Holiday Party audiovisual suppliers again this year and are grateful for our long-time relationship the bank; another North Carolina business, like ourselves.

We set up HD screens and audio at BB&T’s Headquarters around the atrium to be sure all the guests got in the holiday spirit. It is a soaring, enormous, and stunning room and BB&T wanted to make sure no one missed a beat, literally. Just a great party for the associates of a great company and we couldn’t be more happy to be the audio visual vendor on site. Happy holiday’s and the happiest of New Year’s for 2014. Announcing the AV Connections Brand Merger, Winston-Salem and Charleston

Visual Aids Electronics of North Carolina, Inc. (VAE of NC) a premier national provider of large-scale audiovisual staging and production for conferences, meetings, and events, located in Winston-Salem, is pleased to announce a brand merger with its wholly-owned subsidiary, AV Connections, Inc.of Charleston, South Carolina.

As of January 1, 2014, Visual Aids Electronics of North Carolina, Inc. will now also be known as AV Connections, Inc.

VAE of NC opened in 1985 as a licensee of another national audiovisual concern. In 2002, the experienced owner-management group of VAE of NC opened AV Connections, Inc.of Charleston, also a premier provider of large-scale audiovisual rental and event production, under the same ownership and management. The success of the AV Connections, Inc.brand, started by Brad Luckhart (President and CEO of VAE of NC, now AV Connections, Inc.) and managed by Vice President Jared Luckhart in Charleston, has led to the decision to merge these two strong businesses under one brand name and to end the use of the VAE brand going forward.

The ownership and leadership of AV Connections, Inc. of Winston-Salem is unchanged. Brad Luckhart, in partnership with his wife, CFO Marjorie Luckhart, continues to manage both the North Carolina and South Carolina operations from the AV Connections, Inc. (formerly VAE of NC) corporate headquarters located at 245 Executive Park Boulevard. In the process of this brand merge, we are also pleased to have increased and elevated our management group with Jared Luckhart’s promotion to Vice President.

More outdoor event lighting at Kiawah! We recently providing event lighting for a gala Oyster Roast banquet held at Rhett’s Bluff on Kiawah. We love making lighting magic in the great ocean and seaside destination venues of our Charleston!

What a magical evening it was at Vanderhorst Plantation’s Rhett Bluff! If you are planning a wedding, party, or any sort of gala evening, we encourage you to have a look at Rhett’s Bluff. It was a pleasure to work at this venue and install the cafe bulb lighting and uplighting you see in these photos.
